Having spent the late Autumn and early Winter visiting Wensum Farmers members to determine what would be of use to them, a meeting of the minds was organised.

We invited Norfolk FWAG to join us on a cold January afternoon to discuss the intricacies of SFI, Higher Tier and existing HLS payment schemes.

Having started by running through the basics, we then covered more in depth questions that were bespoke to some of our land custodians.

As ever, conversations went on tangents around trees, grazing, Carbon and public access, all of which were useful and thought provoking in their own right.

It was clear to see that this meeting not only brought benefit in terms of knowledge from an outside party, but the farmers gained an afternoon with their peers, in what can be a very isolating time of year for those in the agricultural industry .
