A day at the races!

By kind invitation of David Hunter and the team at Fakenham Racecourse (an enthused member of Wensum Farmers) some of our group spent the day at the races.

With a race named after us; “The Wensum Farmers: Making Progress and Working Together Handicap Steeple Chase (Class 5)” and an invitation to judge the best turned out and present the winning owners with their prize, it was truly a day to remember.

The racecourse are working hard to keep their water footprint to a minimum, and ensure that any chemicals required are carefully considered before application. They work closely with their farming neighbours to better understand how we can work together to improve the Wensum.
